With an extensive international sponsorship activity, PUMA is committed to supporting creativity and sustainability, working in innovative ways to expand its considerable marketing presence in a wide range of sports, from football and running to golf and sailing.
Due to the large amount of information that had to be managed, PUMA required a more effective system for keeping track of all the data regarding its sponsored events and identities onto a single platform. The company’s previous system lacked scalability and operations were becoming more difficult and resource consuming for sponsorship managers.
The aim of the project was to built a complete data management system from the ground, capable of centralising PUMA’s entire range of sponsorship deals. After carefully examining the business and technical requirements, iQuest designed, developed, tested and provided maintenance and support for the new application.
Within a few months the system was launched with a stable platform in place, allowing PUMA employees to have a detailed overview of the sponsored events or identities they were responsible for, depending on their access level.
The web-based application was designed to provide a friendly dashboard view to multiple financial modules including contracts, budgets and licensing agreements. Data manipulation was made possible through a series of filters that enable users to reach the exact information they wish to retrieve.
Benefits and Results
PUMA transitioned from an outdated system with limited business support to a sophisticated platform that enables dynamic data management. The solution allows all of the company’s users and athlete representatives to manage and classify sponsorships using multiple criteria such as athlete/player, club/team, national team, event or region and easily obtain important information through the dashboard view.
By integrating all the financial data within a single platform, the application provides users with a powerful monitoring and reporting tool which grants them total control over sponsorship budgets.
Together with iQuest, PUMA laid the foundation for an efficient business model that enables it to manage its multiple sponsorship channels, remain competitive for the future and streamline numerous processes.
